Netherlands KNVB Beker

Feyenoord vs Utrecht

Pick: Over 2.5 goals

Odd: 1.50

Feyenoord are the defending champions of the Dutch traditional cup and will be looking to build another good runs when they entertain Utrecht in the round of 16 of the competition. In the previous rounds, they eliminated lower-division Gemert and Eredivisie opposition ADO den Haag with scoreline 0-4 and 5-1 respectively. The host won’t be coming to this game in the highest spirit though after their shock defeat at home to Sittard on Sunday. Prior to the shock defeat on Sunday, Feyenoord have record six straight wins scoring 18 goals. Van Bronckhorst’s side have been productive in front of the home crowd scoring 20 in the 9 home league games this season.

Utrecht are surely one of the form team in the country at the moment. They’ve dropped just five points in the last 10 league games and they sit at fourth position in the Eredivisie league. Their attacking potentials was on display again last weekend when they earned a 3-2 winner at Heerenveen. The visitors have now found the back of net at least once in all but two of their eight travelling matches in the Eredivisie, though they’ve found it tough to keep teams out, as they’ve shipped a total of 14 goals away from this season.

Utrecht conceded an average of 1.53 expected goals when playing away from the comforts of home, which does not bode well ahead of a game against an attack that scored three or more on four occasions at home this season. Feyenoord are surely the favourite here, but the visitors are more than capable of netting at least a goal here, which makes backing over 2.5 goals a solid banker bet.
